We are literally hours away from the 5th annual College Radio Day. I don’t know about you, but I am definitely excited. We’ve accomplished so much this year, and are proud to say that we believe that this is the best College Radio Day yet.
I believe I speak for everyone involved on the Board of Directors in saying that without you and your college or high school radio station, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Please bear that in mind today as you rock your respective airwaves. Without college radio, the world would be a little squarer and a lot more silent.
Now, some last minute things I’d like to share with all of you.
For all those stations on Twitter: A Twitter list has been compiled where all of the stations participating had been added. This is a great way for all of the stations to communicate during the 24 hours in one stream without it getting lost within the rest of the Twitter feed. If you want to participate you must go to your stations Twitter account, find your lists, find the “College Radio Day 2015” list and subscribe – then you’re ready to go!
For those looking for cool, dynamic content to air on your stations navigate to https://soundcloud.com/collegeradioday where we have some awesome liners from some pretty cool artists. There are also exclusive interviews from Stewart Copeland of The Police and Josh Eppard from Coheed and Cambria (as well as other interviews from previous years). You can also find the CRD 2015 Simulcast from the White House if you would like to air that as well. In addition, if your station signed up to participate before September 1, 2015, you have customized sweepers made for your station also located on the Soundcloud page.
Lastly, remember to have fun.
I am in awe of everything all of you and your stations do.
Long Live College Radio and Happy College Radio Day!
