College radio friends,
We’re off to great start so far, with over 160 college stations from 15 countries around the world pledging to come together for World College Radio Day 2019. Our theme this year is Hear It First on College Radio!
This theme takes into account the work you do every day at your campus station, whether it’s breaking a new, local band or beating your student newspaper to a story (something I enjoy way too much). It’s also the launching pad to careers in broadcasting. Remember your first time behind the mic? Bet it was at a college radio station. College radio is where you’ll hear news about your community and campus life first.
Your CRD Task Force and WCRD Team is busy pulling together sponsors and discounts, and working on that all-important t-shirt design. More details on those as we get them.
In the meantime, let us know how you’ll be planning out your College Radio Day / World College Radio Day. We want to Hear It First!
