[NCRA/ANREC] Open Doors: World College Radio Day

[NCRA/ANREC] Open Doors: World College Radio Day

Calling all Campus Stations!

The NCRA/ANREC in collaboration with World College Radio Day are organizing an event for this year’s College Radio Day (October 4, 2024), with your help, of course.

In Ottawa, there is an event every year called Open Doors, where you get to go into neat and often closed to the public spaces like city hall, etc.

For this year’s College Radio Day, we want to take inspiration from this event and create a version of our own that involves all Not-For Profit stations (Campus, Community and Indigenous) all around the world.

For this event, we recommend that you open up your space as a place for everyone to visit, if even for an hour or two. We’re sure most of your stations are open to the public most days anyway, but this will serve as a reminder and encourage people to visit. This includes opportunities to get people on-air, recruit and see what behind these ones look like. This would be a great opportunity to use this time to refresh your ID and productions.

If you are interested in being part of this event, all you have to do is fill out the form below and promote that your station is open for that day. We encourage you to offer swag, maybe some food/snacks and have a media release. We will share templates of posters and designs for you to modify and put up. In the form, you’ll also see the option to volunteer your time to create a PSA for us to share about the event with others.

Once you register, we will reach out to you and provide more media and documents in September to assist with promotions.

Fill out this form if you would like to participate: https://forms.gle/HETRjopRqR1iPi9Y9

You can contact the NCRA/ANREC team if you have any questions or ideas that would help this event be even more successful. Let’s showcase what amazing Campus/Community and Indigenous radio looks like around the world.

If you have any questions about the event please email [email protected] or [email protected].
