Dear College Radio Community,
Some of you may know that a few years ago we created The College Radio Foundation, a non-profit based in New Jersey, to oversee the annual College Radio Day and Vinylthon events. Both successful events continue to this day.
We also launched a sustaining membership club called Friends of College Radio. We are retiring that club and relaunching it as The College Radio Society, expanding its mission to explicitly celebrating and promoting the rich, ongoing history of college radio. We want as many college radio alumni to join as possible!
We plan to have lots of events that will celebrate the important legacy of college radio, including a podcast, zine and other (virtual and IRL) events if possible! There is lots to look forward to as we develop this excting initiative!

For this year’s Giving Tuesday, anyone who joins as a member before the end of this year will also receive a limited edition College Radio Society drink koozie and a 35,000 Watts sticker, to celebrate the upcoming documentary about college radio!

We hope you will join us in getting this new society started, and invite your college radio alumni friends into this group! There’s a lot of stories and history that we cannot afford to lose!
